Professional Development

Since its creation in 1998, the Conseil québécois des arts médiatiques - CQAM has been active in continuing professional development activities of the media arts sector it represents. This part of its mission takes form through the following actions and activities:

• Production of studies related to the continuing professional education training needs in the media arts sector
   
• Production career development tools such as competency profiles of professional artists, cultural workers and managers in the media arts sector since 2001
   
• Annual program of continuing professional education workshops open to professional artists, cultural workers and managers
   
• Development of turn key continuing professional media arts training activities
   
• Organization of conferences on related subjects
   
• Participation on Boards, Steering and Project Committees of Cultural Human Resource Councils
