How It Works

Eligibility

Continuing education workshops financed by Emploi-Québec are open professional self-employed artists, cultural workers and managers. Some activities depending on their content can welcome participants from other artistic sectors. Students cannot register for these courses.

Registration

To register for participation in one of CQAM’s workshops is quite simple. Follow the procedure described for each workshop and return the completed documents to CQAM along with your resume and payment for the training session. Group training activities and workshops are offered in French only. Individual workshop activities can be given in French or English provided an expert trainer can found.

Cost

When continuing professional education activities are underwritten by Emploi-Québec, they are offered at an extremely advantageous cost, geared to enable all artists and cultural workers to receive needed training. The cost of each workshop applies only to the businesses and self-employed artists that are not subject to the Quebec Law 90. In the case of self-generated training courses, the cost is kept as low as possible and proportionate to the number of people registered for the session.

Cancellations and refunds

The cancellation/refund policy varies according to each activity. In general, a notice of cancellation and a request for refund of payment request must be made fifteen (15) working days before the activity, except for acts of God.

CQAM reserves the right to cancel or change the date of a training activity if registration for that activity is insufficient to allow the activity to proceed. In such a case, participants can request a complete refund.
