Contemporary Arts X Wiki Workshops

Join us for a second series of Wikipedia contribution events between September 2020 and May 2021!
The Contemporary Arts X Wiki Workshops take place every last Thursday of the month from 4 to 7pm.

Next workshop : Thursday October 29th, 2020 from 4PM to 7PM (Facebook event).
It will be a “special Halloween” workshop with the theme Alter ego, characters and pseudonyms.
This user-friendly virtual workshop is inspired by John Latour’s spring-summer 2018 research residency at Artexte; Qui était qui était qui dans l’art canadien contemporain.

The fall workshops will take place online, and the winter and spring workshops could take place simultaneously in Artexte’s spaces and online, according to the health regulations in effect at the time.
At each workshop, beginner participants will be able to follow a short introduction on how to contribute to Wikipedia. The organizers will be available to answer questions and exchange with everyone. The format of the events remains simple and friendly.
Everyone interested in Quebec and Canadian arts and the Wikimedia Foundation’s projects is welcome: artists, cultural workers, researchers, amateurs of contemporary arts, and curious people! In addition, people under-represented in Wikipedia, especially women, people from LGBTQ2S+ communities and people from Indigenous, ethnocultural or racialized communities are encouraged to participate!
