During the success of his latest experimental animated film The Physics of Sorrow which won the Crystal Prize at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, Theodore Ushev do us the honor to do a meet & greet for Main Film’s community. An opportunity to retrace the filmmaker’s incredible career.
Born in Bulgaria, Theodore Ushev settled in Montreal in 1999. In Montreal, Ushev found a fruitful creative soil at the National Film Board of Canada, where he has made more than 10 films, including Lipsett Diaries and the Academy Award®-nominated short Blind Vaysha. Ushev’s films have won more than 150 awards and mentions and have screened in many retrospectives. The Physics of Sorrow is Ushev’s latest project, and his most ambitious work to date.
